Paris: Capgemini and Orano have announced the successful deployment of Hoxo, the first intelligent humanoid robot designed specifically for the nuclear industry.
The initiative represents a groundbreaking advancement in physical AI, setting a new benchmark for innovation, safety, and efficiency in complex industrial operations.
Hoxo to Redefine Human-Machine Collaboration in the Nuclear Sector
Deployed at the Orano Melox Ecole des Métiers in the Gard region of France, the humanoid robot is equipped with embedded artificial intelligence and advanced sensory systems.
These technologies enable real-time perception, autonomous navigation, precision-based actions, and safe interaction with human teams. Built to replicate human movements, Hoxo is capable of performing technical tasks in challenging environments within nuclear facilities.

Testing Phase to Validate Hoxo’s Industrial Capabilities
Over the next four months, Orano Melox’s innovation team will conduct an intensive testing phase to evaluate Hoxo’s performance in areas such as mobility, accuracy, and operational scalability.
The findings are expected to determine the robot’s potential to support operators through robotic assistance, thereby enhancing overall productivity and safety standards in the sector.
